Winner of Spring Blog Hop Prize

Teresa Godines #6857  Teresa, send me your address and I will get your corner punch out next weekend.

Speaking of weekends...  I had a pretty busy one.  Friday, I went to Bowling Green, Kentucky to pick up the newest member of our family.  This is Mirabella.  She is almost a year old. Considering she has only been here a few days, she has been consistently using her litter box, has made friends with the cat (Freeway) and seems to be making herself right at home. The "Nashville Bunny Rescue", and it's wonderful director, Laurie Montgomery do a great job.  Laurie brought her up from Nashville to meet me.  I also assisted in transporting a Momma and her 6 babies and an "Auntie", to another Bunny rescue in Morgantown, WV.   Please have all your furry pets spayed or neutered.  Remember, pets are a commitment.  Please don't support hobby breeders or irresponsible breeders.  DO support your local rescues.  Remember, rabbits and chicks are not a child's toy to be tossed aside when they have grown tired of them - they are a living, breathing creature, with feelings.  Every day thousands of unwanted pets are euthanized, tortured or otherwise killed in this country.  Please be part of the solution, not the problem.

The blog hop officially ends on Sunday March 25th at 11pm CST. Some Fiskateers are offering sur-prizes…check their directions carefully to participate.
The project I have made to share with you is an album I made using a "basically bare" album, "basically bare" heart embellies, and some of the "Follow Your Heart" line by My Mind's Eye 2. I used my Fiskars trimmer, scissors and adhesive foam in this project. The adhesive foam comes 2 sheets to a package and is in several widths, so all you do is trim them off in the size you need them to be. I am a devoted Fiskars fan and have not been paid by any of the company's for using their products.
The first page, is actually further back in the book, it is a canvas page that I embellished, then attached to the following page to make a pocket page. In the pocket there is a pullout with a photo and I journaled on one side, then there are photos and embellishments on the back. The second page is the cover of the album. The right lower corner and side of it is layered. The heart has been distressed. The 3rd page has been stamped, and a pearly sunshine was added. The "wooded playing piece" is actually cut from the same sheet of paper, a square of cardboard was added and the cut out was placed on top. One page of the album is a pocket page that was made in the album. I embellished the front side. On the back, I added a strip of paper, stamped a fence, added brads for the gate, stamped another fence on another strip if paper, adhesived the 2 strips together and on the outside edges. You can put things in the pocket and when you open the gate, you are surprised by a bird and some flowers. Another page is a plastic page. I added clear butterfly stickers on both sides of the plastic. For the last inside page, I took a butterfly embellishment, removed the brad, cut it in half and gave baby Jozi some wings.
These photos are of my Grandchildren. Rosie - 8, Jayden - almost 2, Liberty Grace - 18 months, and Jozi Renee-Lynn 6 months.
