After the paint dried, I stapled some glittery white nylon netting onto the heart, wrapped it around and tied it on the front. Then I stapled some more to the top-back creating a way to hang it. I loosely modeled this from a creation I saw on Pinterest - by landeeseelandeedo.com. I was so glad I spent yesterday morning browsing my daughter's, Cordelia, Pinterest boards! I really like this and I hope you do too. Hope you take some time to be creative today.

My Favorite Love Story...
As many, if not all of you know, I am Fiskateer #6036. All this month we have had "The Fiskateer Games" in honor of the Olympics. This is the last week and the theme for this week is "Home Decor". Emma Jeffery - Lead Fiskateer #7981 asked us to: "Show me some creative expression by altering a blank canvas (of any size) while also incorporating some Fiskars tools". This is my creation:
I started with an 11 X 14 canvas from Big Lots. Then I used assorted letter stickers from my stash. I painted over the letter stickers with a foam brayer from The Dollar Tree, using Master's Touch acrylics in Grey Purple (it looks blue on here). Using a paper piercer, I removed the letters carefully. One of the letters came off on the brayer, so I will need to use some stickier stickers next time. I used a Fiskars Ultra Shape Express template to cut the heart shape out of some packing cardboard. Then I painted it in Master's Touch Lemon Yellow acrylic paint. While the paint was still wet, I rubbed in some ultrafine yellow glitter. I love the texture the cardboard and nylon netting gave.
